| Akman Construction reconstructed this landmark Winnipeg building, respecting the original architecture complete with terrazzo flooring throughout and a new flamed granite podium on entry. The project included completely stripping the interiors, reglazing the structure, and installing new roofing, mechanical and electrical systems. | The mechanical system was revised which affected the capital cost marginally, but provided a 25% more efficient system. An alternate glazing supplier was sourced which saved $75,000 and 8 weeks in fabrication time. | ||
