Construction has begun on a new 100,000 square foot facility for Red River College called the Innovation Centre. The new centre will house re-imagined academic programs, innovation and entreprenerial activities and services that will bring together students, instructors, researchers, industry, and the community to enable social entrepreneruship and innovation and deliver to employers job-ready graduates.
The project also includes renovations to the existing 20,000 square foot Scott Fruit Building which will be connected to the Innovation Centre. The 3 storey facility, which was built in 1914, is considered a historic building in Manitoba.
