| Akman Construction is currently constructing the WCC in the Province of Manitoba for the Department of Justice in conjunction with MIT. The facility is a 170-bed maximum security Women’s Correctional Center in Headingley Manitoba. This facility will be the most advanced correctional facility for women in North America. | The main administration building at WCC is designed to achieve a Silver LEED status being the first prison in Western Canada with this designation. | ||
