| Wesley Hall, one of the original buildings of the University of Winnipeg, officially opened in 1896. Akman Construction undertook a major historical restoration a few years ago in order to replace the original exterior cladding with new sandstone imported from Nova Scotia, Canada. A new slate roof was also installed and a new concrete foundation was introduced to stabilize the structure. | The exterior cladding project, which preserves the historic character of the building, was honoured with several masonry awards for its remarkable achievement. | ||
